As usual there is limit to the number of participants.

This weekend takes you from the very beginning of rigging up and covers both lake and river fishing techniques. If you’re interested then send me an e-mail and I will send you a complete itinerary and booking sheets.

If you can get 6 people together you can always book a private fly fishing weekend.

About the weekend

This weekend is about helping you learn all about trout fishing.
I will be guiding and instructing you in all the methods used to catch trout.

Learn how to select the best method for the day to suit local conditions.
Boat Trolling – Bait Fishing – Lure Spinning and Fly Fishing methods are all covered.

Head guide of ‘Lake Jindabyne Trout Fishing Adventures’, Steve Williamson, has been fishing the mountains for over 30 years and guiding professionally for 18 years. There is no other person more knowledgeable about local fishing conditions. His knowledge has been proven by record sales of his book ‘Trout Fishing the Snowy Mountains’ which is now on the best sellers list.

How much fishing will we be doing?
We will start early on Saturday morning and will get as much practical fishing as possible using all methods.
Sunday will be another early start but we aim to finish fishing at 2pm to allow those that are returning home to do so. There will be at least 16 hours of on water fishing over the weekend.

What experience do I need?

No experience on trout fishing is needed, you will have a great time and are guaranteed to learn a lot.
Instruction will be provided for those angers that would also like to improve their fishing techniques.

What do I bring?
You can bring your favorite fishing tackle, but if you don’t have any suitable we can supply everything you need. Bring your fly gear if you have some.
Don’t worry about lures or flies we will supply all you need.

Will accommodation be provided?
No, this special price requires you to arrange your own accommodation. We can however help with packages.

What about meals?

While you are being guided, all refreshments and meals are included in the price. You will have to provide your own breakfasts and dinners and there are plenty of options available if you wish to get take away or eat out.

How do I go about booking?
Due to the limited number of people each weekend, 50% deposit will be required to secure your position and full payment is required 14 days prior to the weekend. Fly Fishing Instruction

1 and 1/2 days of instruction including - casting, tackle, knots, rigs, reading water and plenty of personal guided instruction while you are fishing the waters of Lake Jindabyne, the Thredbo River, the Mowamba River, just to name a few of the possibilities.

Please NOTE, the aim for the weekend is to give you as much instructional knowledge as possible.
I will be moving quickly through the theory, and we do plenty of practical on the water, however, should the weather stop us from proceeding, instruction will be done in the conference room.
Please bring with you wet weather gear, as we will still be fishing regardless of the weather, unless it is far too windy or torrential rain.
